McManus for School Board

McManus for School Board Committee was a successful political group for electing Hugh McManus III as a member of the New Hanover County School Board.  I worked for this committee as co-campaign manager, marketer, web manager, and social media manager.

  • As co-campaign manager, developed political strategies and compile data based on voter demographics
  • As marketer, created marketing campaigns, examined analytics, designed flyers, signs, and other graphics
  • As website manager, created and maintained the website, reviewed analytics, and performed SEO
  • As social media manager, published social media content; efforts increased Facebook likes by over 200%

It was a great joy applying my social media and web-designer expertise with my knowledge of political science. 

Crafted By Friends

Crafted By Friends is a fair-trade store that gives international artisans access to the United States' market. My experience with this company consisted of web-design and marketing. For this work I have:
  • designed multiple pages and banners, wrote content for pages, perform​ed SEO, integrated PayPal payments, maintained and updated the store, and kept the content fresh with up-to-date content (update plugins, homepage, etc.),
  • marketed products through creating newsletters, created coupons, creating a Facebook store, and posted and marketed on social media (Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook).
Crafted By Friends has shown me the impact increasing globalization has in business field. For example, one artisan from Brazil receives most of his income from the sales he makes on this website. It is truly an honor working with Crafted By Friends.

Together We Can Inc

Together We Can is an international and local nonprofit. Their mission is to provide networks, mentoring, and accounting of funds to organizations and projects.
For this nonprofit, I:
  • modernize the site layout, add/remove donations options, perform SEO, and make sure website is up to date
  • Integrated partners' donations platforms into a centralized hub.
  • publish Facebook content
  •  set up communication and presenting devices, and fix technological issues as a technology consultant to the board of directors.
It has been a great joy working for this nonprofit as I have seen the impact networks have had in the global community. For example, Together We Can Haiti receives supplies and volunteers from the contributions made through the networks Together We Can's board  established.  ​

  • Seeing the best aesthetics for sales
